Highlights from The Journey | Balmy Breezes & Potent Cocktails Make Our Rendez-Vous At The Raleigh A Miami Must

A big thanks to our friend Chad who insisted we swing by The Raleigh hotel for a quick cocktail. Despite our speedy 48-hour Miami tour, slipping through the lobby and into The Raleigh’s balmy lantern-lit garden was nothing short of magical. Flanked with comfy lounge chairs and generous love-seats, the majestic tree planted at the center of the garden served as a canopy of lights, while an adorable vintage-inspired cocktail cabana made us feel as though we had traveled much further than just Miami.

How To Make Your Hotel Room Feel Like France? Add Lavender Soap and a Champagne-Inspired Candle

12-soapWhile in Los Angeles, I wanted to give my hotel room some French touches, so I went to  Fresh, one of my favorite beauty stores. (Seriously, their packaging alone is worth a trip.) I picked up a coriander-lavender soap, which reminded me of Provence’s fragrant lavender fields. I also discovered a lovely Citron de Vigne candle, which, inspired by the Champagne region, smelled just like earthy soil, clean air and boxes of sweet grapes. Voila! Now my sleek L.A. hotel room had a bit of the French countryside, as well. xo

Tales From the Bed: How SF’s Campton Place Revived Our Weary PARISIENNE Souls

campton-place-hotel-1

As our last stop on the Journey, we were more than happy to add a few extra slaps on the snooze button to our sleeping schedule. And thanks to Campton Place’s ridiculously luxurious, mind-altering beds—like sleeping on a 4-star cloud!—our lights-out time was nothing short of restorative. We loved the elegant lobby entirely in bloom with vases upon vases of fresh pink roses, the bar where we had our final send-off flute of Champagne, and yes…that big delicious bed. Yvie could barely crawl out in the morning. PARISIENNE needs her beauty sleep, don’t you know? We did, too. And thanks to Campton Place…we got it. 340 Stockton Street, www.tajhotels.com
