I’m a true believer that the fastest way around town is on two wheels. Having lived in places where traffic is unavoidable – Manila, LA, and now NYC – I’ve adopted a little bit of road rage. Being mad at something that you have zero control over is just silly. And so this is how I first started riding my bike religiously in NYC.
At first I would race around town but now that the temperature has dipped, I’ve slowed the pace a bit. Not too much (I live in NY after all) but just enough to notice that the bumpy cobblestone road I ride every day is actually a beautiful slither of PARISIENNE paradise. It’s a great excuse to slow down, no?
This little alley feels very European. I never noticed that until today.
