At the heart of YSL’s DNA is the empowerment of women, and true to this we believe that any woman, anywhere, can adopt the values of being a PARISIENNE. To celebrate the launch of PARISIENNE, and to encourage women to find their “inner PARISIENNE”, we have created www.ExperienceParisienne.com, where the essence of a woman and her PARISIENNE experience is shared with other women.
In this spirit, YSL is sending five renowned bloggers on a journey around the country to discover and reveal their very own PARISIENNE experiences in New York City, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Yves Saint Laurent has chosen an ensemble of women with passions for beauty, art, design, music, fashion and food to create a travel diary of their trip. Stay tuned here to read articles, see photos and follow the women on their journey.

Anna is the resident photographer of ExperienceParisienne.com. Her work has graced the pages of such magazines as Marie Claire, Lucky Magzine and Entertainment Weekly. She is a graduate of Art Center College of Design and was a selected winner of the Magenta Flash Forward competition in 2006 and PDN 30 in 2007.
Highlights from The Journey | Perfectly Messy Hair
About a year ago I was on a travel shoot for Bon Appetit in Paris. Our shoot days were long, but every night I would meet up with a friend, and we would spend hours sitting outside of restaurants drinking, eating and people watching. The thing that struck me the most, was that so many of the girls we saw had such perfectly messy hair and super cute cuts. When I spotted this girl in West Hollywood, she took me right back to that PARISIENNE trip. This striking couple are makers of T-Shirt label Scottish Romance.

Kathryn Ireland’s designs make me want to put every cent I earn into decorating my house. Colorful and lively, her interiors are inspired by the time she spends each year at her home in the French countryside. She’s owned this vacation house since her twenties, when she was pregnant with her first son; she spotted the house while on a road trip with her husband and bought it right away. Swimming Pool at the Standard
While there are lots of great things about the Standard Hotel (the amazing diner, the people-watching from your room onto Sunset Blvd, and the “live art” in their lobby), the swimming pool is the star of the show. There’s a constant flow of beautiful people sitting by the pool and sipping cocktails, and you almost feel as though at any moment you’ll spot a PARISIENNE starlet, like Brigitte Bardot or Catherine Deneuve. Some of the beauties we did spot by the pool: Matteo Fabra and Stephanie Ilic from Paris and Francesco Torricella from Italy…
